This single is from the 1970 Moog Indigo album and is the ninth single from that album. This theme was the inspiration for a French electronic music pioneer named Jean-Jacques Perrey, who created the single The Elephant Never Forgets with some pieces of music that were not from the Turkish March and some that were by Beethoven. One of the melodies in this work, more specifically work number 4 entitled Turkish March, was a song in B Flat major in Vivace tempo.
In 1811 the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven wrote a work entitled The Ruins of Athens that would be released in Budapest, the capital of Hungary the following year.
